I admit that sometimes I take on a little too much... but usually I rise to the challenge. This week, however, I had to take a deep breath and let something go -- my week-long workshop/retreat with several of my artist colleagues in Maine. (Planned and paid for long ago.) School happens to start this week, (an unexpected change to the school calendar), and I didn't feel comfortable heading to Maine yesterday, no matter how much the boys insisted they'd make it work, (and friends offering to help with pickups/dropoffs to school and sports). Sometimes the best laid plans don't always work out, and you just have to accept it and move on.
Shayne is also away, and had planned my workouts around my week in Maine ahead of time, so I'm going to wing it this week. Shouldn't be too hard to do. Intervals, sprints, and anaerobic work at the beginning of the week -- long ride on tap for Friday. Got it.
