, (that season with the cold white stuff), finally arrived today -- bringing frigid temperatures and wet snow. The roads were dry at 6:30 a.m., fooling me into thinking that we were "on" for a ride... until I saw the temperature was hovering below 27 degrees
-- and then minutes later, I received an email from my friend Anne
, saying she was taking it indoors today.
Snow began falling at 7:20... officially canceling our first December Frostbite Ride. I was disappointed as Anne, (and possibly Lucy
), had planned to join me for a ride to Wenham. Instead, a dozen Cyclopaths and I invaded the Wenham Tea House (by car) for a leisurely breakfast. Hopefully next week we'll be back on the roads. (I'll head to the Y tomorrow to get in some rowing.)
