Quick trip to MML

The Blacksmith Shop Bridge, Cornish
I spent a warm-ish but overcast day in Vermont last weekend, with a quickie ride through the Cornish State Forest and some colorfully paved country roads on the New Hampshire side of the Connecticut River. I didn’t have much of a plan and ended up near one of the covered bridges Chip and I have visited before. It has seen better days.

It was likely my last trip to the cottage for the year. I spent the morning at the Weathersfield Town Office in Ascutney doing a land records search on the family property, and then returned to the mountain to close up the cottage. It won’t be long before snow arrives.

View of the old barn. A reminder of its dairy farm past.
