Day 20, 30 Days of Biking, Night riding

I hadn't used my Serfas light system since 24 HOP, so it was fun to put the lights on the bike tonight for a night ride. A few of the girls were planning to get together for dinner at a nearby restaurant, so it made sense to ride there on the Kona for Day 20 of 30 Days of Biking.

Heading home after dinner, I considered adding on more miles before calling it a night -- we had a full moon and it was nice out -- but I quickly realized I was dressed in all-black cycling gear and didn't have a rear light -- so visibility and safety were an issue. (Not something I considered when I headed out to the restaurant at 6:30 pm.)  I cut over to side roads heading home, and hopped over on to the trail for a little bit of extra. I didn't want my ride to end.

I really need to plan better for my next night ride. Maybe I can convince one of the boys to do some dark trails with me! :)
