We are three weeks away from the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo kick off. OMG... I'm not yet ready! I had mini panic attacks of self doubt last week, convinced that I wouldn't be able to manage all of it, but I've had some time to regroup and get my mojo back. (Until a week ago, I hadn't even made flight arrangements or confirmed accommodations, and seriously considered bowing out.)
I shook off those doubts and got my head back in the game. Yes, it's going to be a challenge, but I knew that going into it, and I have been putting in the training time. No backing out now.
Flight arrangements are now made and I'm no longer homeless. I've made some calls to a bike shop in Tucson and will arrange to ship my bike out to them through one of the race sponsors, BikeFlights.
I'm somewhat concerned with my limited time on the new mountain bike due to it's untimely arrival -- and geeeez it's been soooooo cold lately and my rides have been short. But I'll be o.k. I'm getting my workouts done, (running, riding, and yoga), paying close attention to my nutrition, and will do the best I can. I've got this.
