Run, Run, Run, plus MTB

Still mixing it up, I managed to eke out several days of running last week -- and I'm finally able to run a full mile without stopping, (yaaay!). My workouts have included an additional mile of run/walk intervals, bringing me up to two miles total. They're baby steps, but I'm getting there.

I also headed out with friends on Tuesday for some trail riding at Lynn Woods. It was a fun morning yet still very challenging for me! Swapping bikes with Keli for a bit, I rode her smaller full-suspension bike down one of the trails and noticed a huge difference between her bike and Pete's heavier, larger MTB. (I definitely had more control on the smaller bike, though I wasn't a fan of the full suspension.) I know I need to upgrade to a better/safer bike before my race in Tuscon next winter -- so I texted our pro rider Rebecca Gross for advice. She suggested a hardtail 29er for me, (which a few kittens suggested as well). I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for yet, but I'll be checking out different bikes over the next few weeks to figure it out.

No wipeouts last week, which is a good thing. I do love, love, love riding offroad.
