Gloucester.... no, scratch that. Ipswich.

I finally got out on the road today, after the rain forced my rides indoors for several days. I was so frustrated with the weather yesterday, and thinking that Sunday would be another washout, I really loaded up the tension on my spin bike on Saturday for some of the long climbs -- (double spin classes (plus a little extra), for 2 hours and 40 miles.) Ha. I paid for that today.

I woke up this morning to sunshine, and I couldn't have been happier. (Storms are expected later in the day.) Heading out on the bike, I wish I held back a little at the gym the day before, (tired muscles!), but I was just sooo happy to be out. I poked through Salem, (everyone pokes through Salem, bike or car, you can only poke), and made my way over the Beverly Bridge... and at that point, I didn't know where to head to next! So many options!! I ended up riding backroads to Ipswich, after first starting out towards Gloucester, because I love that ride... but it was lonely without my peeps. At the end of the day, I logged in 44 miles for the 3 hour jaunt. So good to be out on the road!
