Day 14, 30 Days of Biking, Adventuring

Forest River Trail, Salem
With sunshine finally here, I took the Kona over to the Forest River Conservation Area to do some loops of the rooty, loamy singletrack there. The trails offer varying degrees of difficulty making it a good place to work on MTB skills. After several loops of the area east of Loring Ave, I crossed over to pick up the Forest River Trail behind Salem State's north campus parking lot -- and got totally engrossed in a new discovery. I'd never been to the FRT -- and wow, it's amazing (!) with gorgeous marshland, woods, and footbridges. So cool! I got a bit lost-ish after losing my bearings not knowing where the end of the trail would lead me... so I turned around and retraced my path out of the woods, planning to look at a map later and return!! Such funnnnn!!!
